What the month left, and what would have changed it
The profit sheet consultants keep in Excel, worked from the brand's own month. Type a lower discount, a smaller ad budget or a higher menu markup, and watch net profit move — with the exact change that would break even worked out for you.
Filled in from the month, not typed
Pick a brand, an outlet, a platform and a period — the same choices as the brand report — and every figure in the current column comes from the report's own “month in detail”: item sales, packing charges, platform fees, delivery, discounts, refunds, penalties, advertising and what was credited.
The same formulas as the spreadsheet
Credited amount, entries made, unaccounted amount, dine-in price, menu price recovery, break-even and net profit, cell for cell with the workbook it replaces — and tested against that workbook, recalculated.
Amount and percentage on one line
Each cost shows its rupees and its share of gross sales side by side, in the month as it was and in the month you are working out. The percentage you type sits beside the rupees it produces.
Break-even, worked out exactly
Every line of the sheet moves in a straight line with its own percentage, so the figure each one has to reach is a calculation, not a guess. It names each change that closes the gap on its own, and one click applies it.
What cannot close it, said plainly
If cutting advertising to zero still leaves the month short, it says so — and how short the month would still be with every discount, ad, refund and penalty at zero.
Where the payout differs from the entries
Where the amount credited differs from what the month's entries add up to, the difference is named in rupees, with a link to raise it as a claim.
4 steps
Set each outlet's markup and food cost once
How far its platform prices sit above its menu, and what food and packing cost as a share of the menu price. Both live on the outlet, and the calculator tells you which outlets still need them.
Choose the month
Brand, outlet, platform, order types and period. The current column fills itself in.
Move the levers
Type a percentage in any line that can change — discount, advertising, delivery, menu markup, food cost. Everything below it recomputes as you type; the month as it was stays beside it for comparison. The platform fee can be tried as well, with a warning that it is set by the contract.
Take a suggestion, or reset
Apply the change that breaks even, or put everything back to the month with one click. Nothing is saved — it is a what-if, and the address carries the month so it can be shared.
| Current | Worked out | |
|---|---|---|
| Total item sales | ₹26,840.00 | ₹26,840.00 |
| Packing charges | ₹1,342.00 · 4.76% | ₹1,341.44 · 4.76% |
| Gross sales | ₹28,182.00 | ₹28,181.44 |
| Platform fees | ₹4,433.16 · 15.73% | ₹4,433.07 · 15.73% |
| Discount | ₹2,716.05 · 9.64% | ₹1,358.35 · 4.82% |
| Advertising | ₹804.94 · 2.86% | ₹805.99 · 2.86% |
| Credited amount | ₹17,631.78 · 62.56% | ₹18,985.70 · 67.37% |
| For break even (food at 75%) | ₹20,130.00 | ₹20,130.00 |
| Net profit or loss | −₹2,498.22 · −9% | −₹1,144.30 · −4% |
Every percentage is of gross sales — item sales and packing together. Halving the discount adds ₹1,354 but does not close the month. The calculator says so, and that a 6.03% menu markup would.
