How to raise a payout dispute with Swiggy and Zomato
· 5 min read
Finding a difference is half the work. The other half is a claim the platform's support team can check quickly and approve. Vague claims — “my payout looks low” — go nowhere. Specific ones with the working attached get resolved.
Gather the evidence first
- The order IDs affected, exactly as the settlement report shows them.
- For each order: what was charged, what should have been charged, and the difference.
- The arithmetic behind “should have been” — the rate, the base it applies to, and the result.
- For a contract-rate claim, the clause or rate card that sets your rate.
- The settlement period and the report it came from.
Group orders the way the claim is filed
One claim per issue, per outlet, per platform. A single ticket listing 200 orders with the same difference is far easier to approve than 200 tickets, and mixing issues in one ticket slows everything down. Put the largest amounts first.
Raise it through the partner support channel
Both platforms handle payout issues through their restaurant partner support — the help or ticket section of the partner app or portal. State the issue in one sentence, attach the order list with the working, and give the total. Raise issues promptly: recent periods are easier for everyone to check.
Follow it through
- Record each claim: raised, in progress, won, written off.
- Check the next settlements for the credit — recoveries usually arrive as an adjustment, not against the original order.
- Keep a running total of what you recovered. It is the clearest measure of what reconciliation is worth.
MenuMetrics does this for every order in every file you upload: it rebuilds each payout from the platform's own columns, checks it against what settled, and lists what does not tie — with the arithmetic — ready to raise as a claim.
Reconcile every payout, not a sample
MenuMetricsreads the Swiggy and Zomato reports you already download and checks every order against what settled. Start with last month’s file.
